Manny's Profile

Manny brings his extraordinary experience and unique knowledge to the development of The Academy. Since 1992 Manny has trained, played and coached all over the world. Working with players from beginner’s right through to world class Olympians.

In 1991 Manny travelled to Malaysia to train under badminton legend Eddy Choong who became his mentor and a great friend. Eddy had an exceptional academy in Penang which was something that he had never seen before. Young players had the opportunity to be coached by ex Malaysian internationals and World champions. When Manny retired from international badminton in 2003 the Academy was born.

Manny’s passionate style to everything he does is a message that cannot be ignored. He has always relied on his resilient and positive attitude and unique strengths to enable him to attain his current level of success. He demands a lot out of himself, from all those who work for him, and those who train with him.

Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it!!!!!
