Academy players selected for England in the UK School Games…
Congratualations goes to Sean Vendy, Harrison Simcock and Brodie Miller who Badminton England have named to represent England in the team and individual badminton events at the 2011 Sainsbury’s UK School Games in Sheffield this September.

A GOLDEN finish to the season….
The Academy picked up 6 Gold’s and 1 Silver at the U13 & U15 Tunbridge Wells Open. Adam Lam and Alice Torjussen both did the double and picked up the singles and doubles Gold’s but the result of the day has to go to Alice who beat Paige Butler in the final of the girl’s singles.
What a great finish for the season and the motivation needed to work hard through the summer.
Well done everyone an absolutely fantastic day….

End of Season
This season is over and now all we have is a few months of peace and quiet….and training, naturally. On the whole this season has gone quite well in the singles- despite me not going up a grade. In the doubles me and Henry have had to play silvers after him winning the Wiltshire Bronze. Ironically I have done a lot better in U15 Silver than in Bronzes. Next year I am going to try to get up to silver as well as win a few more tournaments. I finished the season on a high by reaching the quarters of the Warwickshire U14′s before losing through sheer fatigue to Daniel Blair. However I did play well but unfortunately Dan played better.
